Dan Potacke Show - June 14 w/ Nicole Gruter and Bastard Den Radio
June 8th, 2010Hiya, it's Dan P here! The P stands for Potacke! After this Monday, The Dan Potacke Show will be off until July 19th... so if you want some of me, this is the week to come out!

Joining me this time will be performance artist Nicole Gruter. Sadly, she's moving away from Madison soon, this will be a chance for Dan to sit down and talk with her about her experiences in Madison and across the country. She's also having an impressive art Sale-A-Thon at the Project Lodge on June 18th-19th, we'll probably talk about that too.
Plus, we'll have Louie and Jimmy from the Bastard Den radio program. I assume it's a support group for people whose parents were not married when they were born. Plus, I'm going to be a guest on their show this Sunday on the 13th.
I'll also have a comedian, one of em. Anybody want to tell jokes before the show? Preferably jokes involving observations of daily life and how it's weird in some way.
Dan Potacke Show... on a SATURDAY with FREE Summit Hefe Weizen!

Cover is only $5 for the whole show and from 7-8 pm... you can get FREE tap Summit Hefe Weizen. That's right, during my show the whole audience will be drinking free beer, this will be a disaster... hopefully a fun one.
The Dan Potacke Show- April 5th w/ Joel Shanahan and comic Marcos Lara!
March 31st, 2010April showers bring MORE DAN POTACKE SHOWS!!!
Join me, Dan Potacke, on Monday, April 5th as I interview JOEL SHANAHAN. You might know him from the band Butt Funnel, or the band Suicide TXT, or the 80 billion other bands he is in. When Joel isn't playing in a show, he's reviewing it as a member of the exciting world of freelance journalism. I'll ask him about all of these things, then I'll run out of questions and we will sit there awkwardly staring at one another.
Also, we'll have comedian Marcos Lara. The only thing bigger than his hair are the laughs generated by his jokes!
Dan Potacke Show - November 9th
November 4th, 2009Yay! It's almost time for another Dan Potacke Show!!!
This time, Dan Potacke will welcome back Jessica Jane Witham. She's directing a play called "1SW33TR1DE" (written by Potacke emeritus guest Rob Matsushita) and she will tell Potacke about her recent experience of bringing the play "Tearoom Tango" to NYC's Fringe Fest.
Also joining Potacke on stage will be Josh Klessig, speaking about his music project: The Gentleman Loser! We'll be talking electronica as well as Josh's low self esteem, maybe Potacke can get him to change the name to Gentlemen WINNER!
Comedian Matt Sloan brings his years of experience in comedy, in both Improv (Monkey Business Institute) and filmmaking (Chad Vader), to the stage in a whole new way as he performs a set of stand-up comedy. Will it be awesome? (Spoiler Alert-IT WILL BE SUPER AWESOME!!)
All this and more, at the Frequency 121 W. Main St. on Monday Nov, 9th at 6:30 pm! NO COVER!!!!!!!!!!! Be there!
August 31st Show Preview and Dan Potacke announces his run for Governor of Wisconsin!
August 26th, 2009
Support the Potacke campaign by coming to The Dan Potacke Show on Monday, August 31st at 6 p.m. at the Frequency. See, that was a good transition.

This Monday, it will be a packed edition of The Dan Potacke show as Potacke welcomes the organizers of the Forward Music Festival. They will discuss the challenges of putting together such a large festival and Potacke will ask why he wasn’t chosen to open for Andrew Bird. Barbara Bolan, Executive Director of WYOU, will add to the fun as she describes her experiences as sales manager for I.R.S. Records and how she is using her experience in the music industry to revamp and revitalize community television. Comedian David Leon will open the show with a set that’s showing why he’s quickly becoming known as one of the freshest, most exciting comedians in Madison.
Plus, there will be a magician. THAT’S RIGHT, A MAGICIAN. Magician Nick Wiszynski will end the night with an amazing show of illusion and wonder.
All that, and a special farewell to longtime Madison comedian Chris Waelti on his final night in Wisconsin before he moves to NYC to find his fame and fortune. Chris Waelti has appeared in some capacity in the vast majority of Dan Potacke Shows. Here's a clip from his appearance in the 8/17 show as an angry protester who thinks he is at a health care town-hall meeting.
The show is at the Frequency at 6 pm and is FREE for those 21 and up. It's going to be a blast!
