Nov 23rd- Dan Potacke Thanksgiving Special!!!
November 17th, 2009Hi, Dan Potacke here! It's Thanksgiving time now! Have a warm holiday celebration with your truest family... the random people who show up at The Dan Potacke Show! That's right, Nov. 23rd is the Dan Potacke Thanksgiving Special!!!
We'll have turkey! And tofu-based turkey substitutes!
Joining me for my Thanksgiving celebration will be Jay Moran. Jay is a veteran of the Madison music and comedy scene with a resume that makes other guitar-strummers and joke chuckers blush. On the music side, he's been involved in such bands as: O'bros, Emmettville, Know-It-All Boyfriends and he currently rocks Genna's every other Thursday along with Biff Blumfumgagne from the Gomers. On the comedy side, Jay has been in legendary Madison sketch group, The Prom Committee, and now is in Full Nelson Reilly, Full Nelson Reilly performs on the opposite Thursday's at Genna's. IF YOU GO TO GENNA'S ON THURSDAY, YOU WILL SEE JAY MORAN PERFORM EITHER COMEDY OR MUSIC!
Also, my mom is back! Yay! She will give me an update on the last several months of her life since she last came on the show! I'm sure it will be great!
That's not all! We've got a double dose of standup with Paul Hart and Ammar Ali! Paul will bring his winning smile and charming poop jokes that drive the ladies wild! Ammar Ali is a medical student, so I'm sure he'll have lots of jokes about that. His set will be like Scrubs, except funny.
Dan Potacke Show - Halloween Special - Oct. 26th
October 19th, 2009Hi, Dan Potacke here!
Boo!
Did I scare you? I hope you didn't get so frightened that you had to leave the room because that means I wouldn't be able to tell you about the Dan Potacke Halloween Special on October 26th at 6:30 p.m. Halloween in October, it's like Halloween in April... except much more accurate.

Joining me this time around will be Adam and Josh from DrunkDial101. DrunkDial101 is a local talk show that combines comedy skits and interviews with notable people from around the Madison area, what a clever and original idea!
Also coming to the show is author Briane Pagel who will be onto discuss his new novel, "Eclipse." It's about an astronaut and then... um... the rest is too complicated for me to understand. Hopefully he can explain it to me at the show.
We'll also have some great stand-up comedy from Darryl Teske who enjoys swearing on live television.
Dan Potacke Show - September 28th
September 24th, 2009Well, it's Fall now. So Fall on down to the Frequency on Monday, September 28th to see The Dan Potacke Show!

This time, Potacke welcomes the director of the new horror movie Incest Death Squad, Cory J. Udler! Dan will also chat with Musician Julian Lynch about his album Orange You Glad. Finally, comedian Joe Gilchrist will amuse the audience with good jokes, I hope their are some jokes about dogs!
As always, it all goes down at The Frequency at 121 W. Main St. The show is free and 21+. The show starts at 6:30, this is as opposed to other shows where I told you the show starts at 6:00 but it actually started at 6:30. This show is at 6:30 and starts at 6:30.
Dan Potacke Show - September 14th
September 9th, 2009The Dan Potacke Show returns on September 14th as Dan welcomes Rob Matsushita, Kitty Rhombus and comedian Nate Bjork.
Rob Matsushita will be on to promote the play he is directing,Cat's Paw, as well as his new movie The Girls and the new web-series he will be starting soon starring Emily Mills. Rob actually has more projects than just that, but to simply list everything creative this man is involved with would take longer than the scheduled length of the interview.
Members of the band Kitty Rhombus will present all of the energy and inspiration of their musical act, except it will be in interview form. Perhaps some armpit hair will be lit on fire, who knows.
Comedian Nate Bjork will tell jokes and you will laugh. Particularly because you are scared that he will beat you up if you don't laugh but also because he is very funny.
All that and bicycle safety tips from Sean and Dan Potacke will probably say some stuff too.
And here is a trailer for Rob Matsushita's play Cat's-Paw.
Warning: This video has lots of sweet-looking guns in it!
And here is a clip of Nate Bjork's comedy.
Warning: Explicit Language (I don't know for sure, I don't have speakers on this computer.)
August 3rd - Dan Potacke Show w/ Lords of the Trident
July 29th, 2009I made this poster in MS Paint as opposed to my usual Photoshop, can you tell?
Hi, everybody, it's Dan Potacke! I'm really excited for my next show!
This time, I'm going to welcome "the most metal band on Earth," the
Lords of the Trident.
Well, 4/5ths of them. They are going to bring the godly power they have over both amplifiers and the forces of evil and bring it to the Frequency for a nice chat.
Also, we've got Adam Waldron on, he's putting on a screening of a new Zack Galifianakis movie called Visioneers. Before the movie, he's going to have a live comedy show featuring lots of people... including me. Wow, cross promotion!
Also appearing that night, comedian Mike Schmidt. He's recently had a video that reached the top 10 on a Comedy Central online contest, so he'll be too big to get on this show before long.
As always, the show is at the Frequency (121 W. Main). The show starts at 6 pm and it's absolutely FREE!
