10/11/12- The Dan Potacke Show at ATLAS THEATRE. 8 PM!
October 10th, 2012The Dan Potacke Show heads on the road to travel the four blocks to Atlas Improv's space at 609 E Washington Ave. And we'll be doing it to raise money for Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin.
We'll have all the joy and fun of the usual Potacke's only in a fancy theatre space. Joining us will be Jay Abbondanza of Chay Presents. He and Chris Lay are moving their successful Sunday night stand-up comedy showcases from Project Lodge to Atlas. Cross-promotion! People in a small comedy community talking...
There will also be stand-up from Stacey Kulow. This veteran of Atlas Improv is also a hilarious stand-up comic.
We'll be getting started at the absurdly late time of 8:00 PM, which is actually a time most people go out on a Thursday.
There's a $5 cover. But don't worry, it goes to benefit Second Harvest. I'll continue to lose money doing this show.
Dan Potacke Public Radio Pilot!
September 27th, 2012

The Dan Potacke Show is recording a pilot for public radio and I want you to be there! Join us on Sunday, September 30th at 4 PM at the Frequency. It's a free show and we'll have some free PBR for our 21+ attendees.
It will be a showcase of some of our best sketches, the debut of the Potacke Singers, a performance by musical guest Dietrich Gosser, and a Wheel of Fantasticness segment (the listeners will have to imagine seeing the wheel spin). I'll still be regular me, hopefully, they like me.
Have your laughter and applause recorded for the ages!
September 13th - Dan Potacke Show w/ Madison Arts Extract & Comedian David Leon
September 6th, 2012
Autumn! The season when people stop going outside all the time and head back inside to watch live sketch comedy/interview shows that feature game show elements.
This time on The Dan Potacke Show, I'll be welcoming the crew of Madison Arts Extract. It's a new weekly podcast suppliment filling you in on all the important arts and entertainment goings-on around town and it features an all-star roster of local writers: Scott "Amusing tales about Florida" Gordon, Ben "The bad boy" Munson, Joel "Joel" Shanahan and Mark "When are we going to talk about video games?" Riechers. The whole crew will be here to talk with me about the bold new frontier of producing a podcast with a format other than stand-up comedians talking to other stand-up comedians about what it is like to be a stand-up comedian.
We'll also feature a stand-up comedian! Dave Leon will grace us with jokes. You should attend the show and become friends with Dave. Why? Because he will greet you with a hug everytime you see him. Seriously, he's got that hug at the ready. It can turn your whole day around.
Packers/Bears game? What's that? I don't know what you are talking about.
8/30/12 - Dan Potacke Show w/ Jenni Dye & Rodney Burayidi
August 22nd, 2012
Summer vacation is over. I, Dan Potacke, have returned. POTACKE IS BACK.
After the longest hiatus of the show to date, The Dan Potacke Show returns to The Frequency on August 30th for a one-off slightly earlier time of 6:30 PM. I've got new skits, new guests, new categories for the Wheel of Fantasticness and the same greenish-brown sportcoat.
Joining me this time will be Jenni "@LegalEagle" Dye. When Jenni first came on the show in March of 2011, she had recently wrapped up a stint sleeping outside of the State Capitol building. Now, a year and a half later, she is a representative on the Dane County Board. We'll talk to her about what it has been like to become a social media superstar to winning a stunning surprise electoral victory.
We'll also feature stand-up comedy by Rodney Burayidi. Fun fact, he is the first comedian on the show who knows how to ride a skateboard. At least that I know of, no other comedian has brought it up during conversation. Let me ask some comedians about their skateboarding habits and I'll have a more scientific stance on the skateboarding percentages in the local scene.
We're back at The Frequency. Due to the Comics for Cause show that same night at 8 PM at The Majestic, we'll be getting started a little early at 6:30 PM. As always, NO COVER!
