8/11 - Dan Potacke Show w/ Lamentable Tragedie of Scott Walker & Chris Waelti
August 4th, 2011Hey everybody, it's time for another Dan Potacke Show! Are you excited? I am! I will assume you are too!
With great reviews, sold-out shows & a mention on Rachel Maddow's blog, the new play The Lamentable Tragedy of Scott Walker has already opened to tremendous success. Now they continue to ride their wave of success with the ultimate honor... appearing on The Dan Potacke Show! Writer/Director Doug Reed and several cast members w...ill be stopping by to explain what it has been like reenacting recent politics through the veil of a quasi-Shakespearean epic. They might even perform a scene for us!
That should easily be enough to get you to come on out but there's more... THERE'S WAELTI! Formerly-local comedian Chris Waelti was a fixture of The Dan Potacke Show for the first several months of the show and I am honored to have him back. Now that he is a New York comedian, I assume most of his jokes will be about subway rats & how things where he lives are different than how things are in L.A.
Wow, what a great show!
As always, it's at the Frequency, 121 W Main St. Madison, WI. 7 PM - No cover, 18+
7/14- Dan Potacke Show w/ Analiese Eicher & Comedian Nate Bjork!

After taking June off, The Dan Potacke Show is back for some amazing July-tastic hilarity!
Joining Potacke this time is Dane County District 5 Supervisor Analiese Eicher! Analiese serves on the Dane County Board an...d is a strong advocate for downtown residents and students. She has also advocated for her constituents at the state level as she has been active in the fight against legislation such as mandatory voter ID. In addition, she has experience working with several political campaigns and with the UW-Madison College Democrats.
Also appearing on the show, comedian Nate Bjork! As an entertainer, Nate is regularly in demand between his stand-up comedy and well-subscribed podcasts.
The show is at 7 PM at The Frequency - 121 W Main St.

5/26 - Dan Potacke Show w/ David Pickett & Nick Lynch
May 23rd, 2011If you weren't Raptured this weekend, come on out for the next Dan Potacke Show. Then, after Potacke, go see more great comedy at the Argus!
This time, I'll be chatting with David Pickett. Mr. Pickett is a local comedian who will soon be moving to Norway. In his honor, he's having a roast held for him later this night. I'll ask Dave what he expects from the roast and we'll also talk about his amazing and unpredictable life journey from the south side of LA to Janesville to Scandinavia. Also joining us for some stand-up comedy will be Nick Lynch, he will spend the next week asking me if different jokes are too dirty. SPOILER ALERT: They are too dirty.
AFTER POTACKE ON THURSDAY: The comedy party keeps going with 2 more amazing shows at the Argus! At 9 PM, it's the final Isthmians Of Comedy performance featuring a farewell to Stefan Davis & David Pickett. And then at midnight, it's The Roast of David Pickett!
April 28th - Dan Potacke Show w/ Jenni Dye, Kitty Rhombus & David Fisher.
April 21st, 2011Hey friends, it’s almost time for another Dan Potacke Show! Make sure you are there on THURSDAY, April 28th at 7 PM for a great show. We’ll have jokes, prizes, and interviews galore!
We’ve got some amazing guests for this show. First up: Ms. Jenni Dye, or as her thousands of Twitter followers know her, @legaleagle. Jenni is a Madison-area attorney and Democracy enthusiast who has attracted an audience throughout the state of WI ...and the world as she has participated in the recent protests at the Capitol. We’ll discuss how the last few months have changed her life and we’ll talk about what’s yet to come.
We’ll also have a visit by my longtime friends, Kitty Rhombus, a charming formerly Madison-based band that relocated to the mystical Twin Cities. The Rhombuses (Rhombii?) are playing a show at the Frequency immediately following The Dan Potacke Show so you should stick around after Potacke and make it a night of fabulous entertainment!
Last but not least, we’ll have standup from comedian David Fisher! Mr. Fisher is also a talented artist & has a beautiful singing voice. Those facts have nothing to do with his standup performance, I just want you to know that’s a complete person.
The show is THURSDAY, April 28th at 7 PM at The Frequency (121 W Main St). The show is 18+ and there is no cover to get in.
